Last updated: May 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information HomeLog (“HomeLog,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. HomeLog is operated by Momba Promotions LLC. By using HomeLog, you agree to this policy.
HomeLog is a web application, operated by Momba Promotions LLC, that helps homeschooling families track learning activities, attendance, grades, reading, and portfolios, and generate compliance reports. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at Carmen@carmenthemomba.com.
HomeLog uses “Sign in with Google” for authentication. When you sign in, with your permission we receive:
We do not receive or store your Google password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google.
HomeLog stores the homeschool records you enter — such as student names, school years, subjects, learning activities, attendance, grades, reading logs, resource links, narratives, and any photos or files you attach to records.
Like most web apps, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) for security and reliability. We use a secure, signed session cookie to keep you logged in.
HomeLog’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
HomeLog requests the following Google permissions (“scopes”):
drive.file) — this restricts HomeLog to the single spreadsheet it creates for your records. HomeLog cannot see your other Drive files.spreadsheets) — used to read and write your HomeLog data spreadsheet. In combination with the restricted Drive access above, HomeLog only touches its own spreadsheet. We use this access solely to provide and improve the HomeLog features you request. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. We do not transfer Google user data to others except as needed to provide the service, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. We do not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.
HomeLog lets you invite another trusted adult (such as a spouse or co-parent) to your household. When you invite someone, HomeLog grants that person access to your HomeLog spreadsheet so they can view and log records. An invited adult can see all records in your household. Only invite people you trust with your family’s information. You can remove an invited person at any time from the app’s settings, which revokes their access.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate HomeLog:
These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
Because your records live in your own Google Drive, you control them directly. To delete your data you can:
If you would like us to help remove any information associated with your account, email Carmen@carmenthemomba.com.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed and HttpOnly session cookies, and narrowly-scoped Google permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and rely on Google’s own security for the storage of your records.
HomeLog is a tool for parents and educators to keep records about their students; it is not directed to or intended for use by children. Account holders must be adults. While records may describe a child’s learning, those records are created and controlled by the supervising adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because your records are stored in your own Google account, you can exercise most of these rights directly. For anything else, contact us at Carmen@carmenthemomba.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
